At the beginning of September we took our first proper family vacation. We had a week in north Devon, staying in a beautiful, secluded cottage. For anyone looking for a self catering holiday in the Torrington area I would highly recommend Crooked Lake Cottage.
Rosalie had no problems adjusting to strange surroundings and slept soundly in the cottage provided cot. At almost 9 months it was wonderful seeing the difference in her from the last time we took her to the beach. She even joined in with fish and chips, a cream tea and had her very own encounter with the Exmoor Beast!
I’ll let the pictures tell the story, here’s what we got up to:
Fun on the beach at Bude

Cycling the Tarka Trail

Playing in the park at Bideford

Digging in the sand at Saunton / Braunton Burrows

Meeting the animals at Exmoor Zoo
For the best cream tea you will ever eat, you have to visit the Rectory Tearooms at Morwenstow, you won’t regret it! We’ve been three times now and have not disappointed us once.
