Happy Days #2

Joining in with the HappyDays Linky, inspiring people to make the most of every day.

Out and about

With all the rain this week we haven’t managed to get outside in the fresh air as much as we’d like, but we did take a trip to the library and Rosalie enjoyed rummaging through the low boxes of baby books and picking some out. We had a good haul, including Room on the Broom, yay!

On Friday, the sun was shining in the morning, so we decided to make the most of it and went out straight after breakfast. This meant our walk coincided with the local dog walkers, and Rosalie made friends with a spaniel. We also spotted the autumn colours of the leaves and had a swing in a park we hadn’t tried before.

Fun at home

Since Rosalie’s new found love for turning the pages in books we have been doing lots of ‘reading’. She is still partial to the occasional nibble on the pages though!

Time for me

I do well when I have a project on the go, so I have set myself a challenge… to cook all 219 recipes in Mary Berry’s Baking Bible! I spent two afternoons this week, whilst Rosalie was napping, in the kitchen baking a Madeira Cake and a good old Victoria Sandwich. I think I need some lessons in cake photography though.

My happiest moment

When Rosalie started handing me things when I asked “please can mummy have it?” That might sound like a really small thing, but when a development just suddenly happens like that, I get so excited.

Next week I would like to try…

To meet with a few mummy friends, as I haven’t done that in a while, for one reason or another… my holiday, their holidays, sickness etc.

Check out my other Happy Days posts so far.

Rosalie is soooo cute! I love her little face on the swing! ๐Ÿ™‚

I definitely need to join our local library, I think they have a great little children's section there.

Wow, that's an amazing challenge (Merry Berry is awesome) – I find it really hard to take photos of food and make it look appealing.

Thanks so much for joining in with #HappyDaysLinky – hope to see you again next week.

We love Room on the Broom!

My goodness good luck with your challenge! It reminds me of a book I read a few years ago "Julia & Julia" where a woman decided to cook every recipe from Julia Childs' cookbook. It made for a very funny read.

Thanks Jenna! Definitely join the library, you should get a BookStart pack with 2 free books and you get a little 'passport' that Jasmine can get stamped each time she visits x
