Happy Days #30

Last weekend Jim was on a stag do so I was flying solo. I’m not going to lie, I did eat a lot of chocolate in the evenings and indulge in a teeny tiny bit of co-sleeping! We don’t really spend much time apart, so I always find it quite strange when Jim’s away, and getting into an empty bed is really lonely, so I was very glad to have him back. To make up for being away Jim took a day off during the week which was a lovely treat.

Out and about

Now Rosalie is properly walking I’ve been trying to encourage her to walk as much as possible; I was so proud of her for walking all the way back from the park last Sunday – it took us a while but we got there.

We’ve also had the usual trips to the park, our Jolly Babies session and a meet-up with our friends mummy A and Little P.

On Daddy’s day off on Thursday we took a trip to Ikea and managed to get lots of bits and pieces to put the finishing touches to some of the rooms in the house. What do you think of my new jars?

Fun at home

Last weekend Rosalie and I planted some seeds and she got really stuck in with helping me put the compost into the pots, but seemed more interested in planting the plant labels…

We’ve also spent lots of time in the garden this week – exploring the different plants, playing with water and chasing each other. She took a particular liking to the fluffy flower-heads on the chive plant (I think she thought they were like pom poms) and I took this photo of her sniffing one which I think is really cute!

Rosalie really is at such a fun age at the moment, she’s brilliant to play with. I’ve really noticed that her concentration and attention span is improving too.

We had fun doing a bit of baking together earlier in the week – Rosalie is still a bit young to really get involved but I put her apron on and stood her up on a chair so she could have a good view of what I was doing, and she was interested in the scales and had a go at weighing flour. I can’t wait until we can properly bake together, it will be my motherhood dreams come true!

My happiest moment

I’ve had some really happy times with Rosalie this week – we’ve had so many laughs just doing ordinary things, playing together in the garden, and enjoying the sunshine. It’s lovely to see her little personality developing, she’s totally crazy and I love her so much!

Check out my other Happy Days posts so far and join in too. #HappyDays is hosted by Katy from What Katy Said and Jenna from Tinyfootsteps.

The photo of Rosalie smelling the chive flower is gorgeous and sums up that age perfectly! Love the jars – looking around the kitchen now I realise how disorganised it is! You have inspired me xx #HappyDays

Our little boy is a similar age to Rosalie and I agree, it's such a lovely age. Their personalities are starting to blossom. Your jars look great by the way, so tidy and easy to see what you've got.

I'm loving being able to see what I've got and not have to deal with tonnes of packets in a drawer!
