Blog silence…

Watching the sea

It’s been two and a half weeks since I wrote a blog post. Not that I want to make excuses, but here’s why:

Last week we were on holiday in Cornwall; our cottage was lovely but it had no internet and the mobile signal was intermittent. I can’t even pretend to be upset about that really, it was nice to have a little bit of escapism from social media and the real world in general! I’ll share some photos of our vacation later in the week when I’ve pulled them all off the various cameras.

Before we went on holiday I was spending (virtually) every minute of my spare time making and painting Rosalie’s sand and water table. I really wanted to get it finished before we went away so that the paint could fully dry ready for her to use when we got back. I got the last coat done on the Friday evening before we went away, and can confirm that she has had a happy morning playing with it today! I’ll share a post about it soon.

We only got back from our holiday yesterday afternoon as we stopped at my parents in Somerset on the way back from Cornwall, so after ten days away I have a small mountain of washing to do and a flourishing garden to tend. Never a dull moment!

Apologies to anyone whose comments I’ve not yet responded to, or to those who tagged me in #widn on Instagram – I wasn’t ignoring you!

Sounds like a lovely time away! It's good to get away from it all isn't it? Good luck with that washing pile and I can't wait to see Rosalie's table πŸ™‚

Sounds like a wonderful break – a bit of enforced unplugging is never a bad thing!

Thanks Becky, it really was. I felt quite refreshed having been 'un-plugged' for 10 days xx
