A few weeks ago, on a rainy morning, Rosalie and I set to making these mini cakes – I thought they would be quick to make and fun for her to decorate, perfect for a mummy-daughter baking session.
She did brilliantly with putting the cases into the mini muffin tins. This time I gave her the whole stack and showed her how to get just one case off, then left her to get on with filling the tins, which she did with no trouble at all.
The cake mixture is just a basic sponge mix, made using the all-in-one method, but we added chocolate chips for a bit of excitement! Once baked and cooled we topped ours with icing and a selection of chocolate chips, cherries, smarties and chocolate buttons.
