If you have subscribed to our newsletter, or joined The Playful Learning Press Family, then you will receive emails from us.
We will only send you emails which you have signed up to receive.
To send you emails, we use the name and email address you provided us. Our site also logs the IP address you used when you signed up for the service to prevent abuse of the system.
This website can send emails through the MailPoet sending service. This service allows us to track opens and clicks on our emails. We use this information to improve the content of our newsletters.
No identifiable information is otherwise tracked outside this website except for the email address.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
Who we share your data with
We will not share your personal data unless we are under legal obligation to do so.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
If you choose to subscribe to the email newsletter from www.picnicsintherain.co.uk, or to join the Playful Learning Press Family, your email address will be used to contact you regularly, typically 2-4 times a month.
I will never sell your personal information, and if at any time you unsubscribe from my regular e-mails, you can request that your information be deleted from the records of my e-mail service provider.
What rights you have over your data
If you have left comments on our website, you can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
At any point you may ask that we remove your information from our systems. Please contact email@example.com with your requirements and we will do so within 30 days.
